These Utes hunt in a grim season. The Ute women have been able to gather little food because it's winter. These men have found no game animals. As their hopes dwindle the Utes see an eagle. Native Americans identified with and worshiped many animals. Eagles, in particular, inspired them. These hunters hope the eagle has come to help them. Their leader salutes the great bird and prays for its blessing. Item # AA038
